      Its bright and early on Saturday 1st June and I’m up and ready to answer all your questions. Does that suggest I’m ready and raring to go?

      Ok, honestly, I’m up to go to work on this bright and sunny weekend, one of the anti-perks of being a doctor (there are lots of other true perks that offset this though).

      I’m so ready! I cannot wait to see what questions you all have, and will answer everything as best I can. I hope that this event will inspire some of you to think about a science career in the future, teach you lots of new things, and help you to see why we all love science so much. I will be a little quiet on the first week as I will be travelling around Berlin, but will come to chat as much as I can – and will definitely make up for it the last 3 weeks 🙂 !

      hmmm, I’m not sure. We’re 20 minutes into day 1 and I’m realising just how many AMAZING questions I’m going to get asked in the next 4 weeks. But I’m up for the challenge, so bring it on!

      No, absolutely not, there’s plenty of stuff you do that you’re never really ready for and that makes it exciting!

      Actually, i’m sure I’ll be fine, you all seem to be asking some great questions with lots of enthusiasm and that’s a big help for me.

      Not really but you find in science that if you wait until you think you’re ready it’s too late!

      Can’t wait – we spend a lot of our time talking amongst ourselves with other scientists so it’s really exciting to be able to discuss things with students from across the country.

      I’ve often found students ask the most interesting/challenging questions and it often helps the work we do as a result!
