Yes. I have looked after some children with NF2. I always struggle to remember the different characteristics or NF1 and NF2 though! Do you know someone with NF2?

I have heard of it and know of it, but have never come across a case myself.

Only in my medical school exam questions! This used to come up a lot in our exams and we had to talk about the benign (non-cancerous) growths affecting the nerve that allows you to hear on both sides (called bilateral acoustic neuromas). I have seen cases of NF1 but not NF2 outside of exams.

Yep, we see a few people with it in our hearing/skullbase clinics as they have a non cancerous tumour that occurs on the nerve of hearing/balance on both sides.

They are also very obliging and help a lot in medical school exams to help teach students about the condition.
