Robotic Arms for those who have had replacements affect day to day life hugely. It allows them to do so much more that you wouldn’t even think important. They can be so much more independent and free.

The average person is affected too, Cars, trains, planes are all built using robotic arms, we use these all the time in our everyday lives. Some medicines are even made using them in pharmaceutical lab processes.

In addition to all the uses that Matthew has outlined, we also use robotic arms to perform surgery (Robotic surgery). You can read about them here: https://publishing.rcseng.ac.uk/doi/full/10.1308/rcsann.supp2.4

Nice answer, Matthew! I only thought about an individual who would have a robotic arm and would be helped immensely.

Some cancerous prostate glands are now also removed surgically using the incredible Da Vinci robot! Take a look here:

Some labs with lots of money also use robots to look after their cells or to test lots of drugs on different cell types – expensive but very important to speed up the process of drug development!
