I’ve been in my current job at the MRC’s Human Genetics Unit for just over 5 years now. I’ve got 6 weeks left until it’s time to leave before becoming a student (again) and starting a PhD.
      .
I’m currently planning the BIGGEST leaving do the world has ever seen. So far we’ve got a Trampoline Park, tons of Sushi and Karaoke all night long planned!

I’ve been an MRC-funded researcher for nearly 9 years across two different cities. My PhD was funded by the MRC in London and now I work in another MRC Centre in Glasgow.

I am currently not funded by the MRC, but my workplace headed by my supervisor is, so I guess that means I have been affiliated with the MRC for the past 5 months!

Hi. I have worked at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit since 2011. At times my main job has been in a local hospital, but i have maintained some research work with the MRC LEU during that time. There are lots of other non-MRC units where biomedical research is done too.

My PhD was funded for three years by the MRC. My current research post is also supported by the MRC for the past two years. As an established department we’re no longer part of the wider family as the council tends to look to support new research units during the most difficult start up time.
My boss and I are currently putting together an application to support me for another three years.
