errr….porridge (I’m half Scottish); when I ran out of student loan at the end of my first degree, I survived on porridge for 3 weeks (back then a 1Kg ‘value’ bag from a well known supermarket only cost 30p) – it’s not bad but I don’t recommend this, it got pretty boring and I came quite close to developing scurvy due to lack of vitamin C!
If I was being more luxurious and ‘balanced’ it would be Moroccan tagine or mixed seafood grill (with chips for carbs and plenty of lemon and garlic mayo!)
Ooooooo. I really like fish so if probably say salmon, but that’s more of a food than a meal.. I love Thai and Japanese food so maybe Thai green curry or sushi.
I went to Italy to teach a couple of weeks ago and the two of us who went made it our goal to have a pizza each day. That turned out to be too much pizza….
I’d love to say pizza, but I don’t think you could survive long on that. So probably some kind of fish curry with veggies and rice. I don’t eat meat, so I’d have to get some protein from fish. And I do love Thai red curries, so it wouldn’t be too bad. I would miss cheese though… Really, really miss it.
My first thought was pizza. Pizza with mushrooms, anchovies, black olives and capers. It’s a pizza no one else in my family tends to eat so I don’t get pestered for slices. 🙂
