      All I know about flagellum is that it’s an appendage from a bacteria that helps them be propelled in whatever medium they are in. I’m not confident that it shows any evidence of intelligent design but more that these bacteria have evolved over millions of years in the medium in which something to help them be propelled through would be useful. So, with natural selection on genetic mutations that provided such an appendage, we have flagellum!
