I love a bit of BBQ.
This shouldn’t be mistaken for grilling, anything that gets direct high heat is grilling. Burgers, sausages etc are all grilling.
BBQing is all about low’n’slow!!! BBQ food, historically, came from the slaves in the deep south of america. They took cheap cuts of meat like pork shoulder or brisket that contained a lot of fat and connective tissue and needed to be cooked for a long time to bring out the flavour and make them tender to eat.
BBQing is something that starts real early in the morning, if we’re having friends over for lunch then i might get up at 5 or 6am to get the fire going as it might take 5-6 hours to cook. It’s worth it when it comes off though!

Ice cream! I couldn’t eat dairy for a few years so got an ice cream maker so I could make some dairy free.
